Movie Gift Card Holder using Slumber Party!

So, I've heard a lot of people say that they are not interested in the NEW Cricut Lite cartridge Slumber Party, because they don't have girls or anyone that age. Well, this cart can do a lot more than just cute slumber party images! I am a teacher and one of my students gave me a movie gift card for a end of the year gift. I was looking at the images on this cart, and the popcorn and soda got me thinking! Here is what I came up with:

Pretty cute I mean, could be manly too right?! This makes an adorable card holder for movie gift cards! Here's another pic from the side, so you can see some dimension:

I used the NEW Cricut Lite cart Slumber Party for all the cuts. The envie is "Card2 layer" and is cut at 3 1/2". Instead of the heart seal, I cut out 2 extra pieces of popcorn at 3". I put one inside and one on the outside.

The soda and the popcorn are cut at 1 3/4". For the popcorn I cut cream paper scraps at "shift", and white paper scraps at "layer-shift".

The red paper is Stampin' Up's Riding Hood Red, and the brown polka dot is Stampin' Up DSP. This ribbon is also Stampin' Up

I used SU dimensionals to "pop up" the soda and the popcorn.

I'm sure that you could make all kinds of gift holders with this! I would love to see what you create! Have a crafty kinda day! :)

I totally agree with you. I have a 13 year old boy so I have no use for this cartridge when it comes to him but there are plenty of girly things to make with it. Check out my blog - I just made a box with some note cards using the cupcake cut on this cartridge.

Your project is great!
