Card sets

Hi everyone! This is going to be a quick post! I am taking the Little Stinkerbella to her first movie today! Fingers crossed that she will sit and {Love} Tangled!

Here are the 4 cards that I made for our friends and family as their Christmas gifts. I also ordered boxes from Clearbags to package them in. The boxes are the ones that are supposed to hold 6 cards, but with all my ribbon and pop dots I was lucky to get 4 with envies inside!

Onto the cards...

I used the MPS Punnylicious stamp set (it's adorable)!

The wool was embossed with the Cuttlebug folder Divine Swirls.

LOVE this little skunk! The skunk, lamb, and frog were made with the Create a Critter cartridge.
This crab was made using the Smiley Cards cartridge on the Gypsy.

Here they are in the box:
My hubbie helped me by putting all of the cards in the boxes. I later added a tulle bow, and viola...presents were done! I made 18 sets, and I still have a few more I need to send out! Until next time, craft away my friends! <3 Kristy

The Polar Express

**UPDATED Gypsy file now available below!!!**

Hello my crafty friends, and Merry Christmas to you all! This is Kristy from craftin-on-my-door and I am super excited to be sharing here today at She's a Sassy Lady! Thanks Shelia  for the opportunity!

My family and I just returned {yesterday} from the Polar Express, We went with some friends of ours and had a fantastic time! While we were there we visited the gift shop. My friend Shannon found an adorable scrapbook kit, but it was a little over priced if you know what I mean. She really wanted it for the "Believe ticket." That's when I thought...I can make that on my Gypsy!!!! So, during the ride home I designed with the help of my G!

Here's the golden ticket:
And here are the layout pages:
I started by using a ticket on the Fabulous Finds cart, and used the hide feature to hide the inside cut. It was a little too chubby so I "unlinked" the w/h and set it at 9.88"w x 4.53"h. Then, I used Cherry Limeade for the BELIEVE. It was sized at 1.94" and then tilted at 9.00.
I placed BELIEVE in the middle of the ticket.
For the hole punched effect I used a circle from Accent Essentials and sized it at .22". This is the part that took FOREVER, but we had a 4 1/2 hour trip home so I had the time! I copied and pasted circles into each letter until I got the look I was looking for. Then I deleted the actual letters and grouped all of circle letters together.
I made two, one for my friend Shannon and one for myself.
For the train I used the Christmas cart. The train and blackout train were cut out at 2.65"h. The cars and blackout cars were cut at 2.41"h. Then, I attached a light yellow strip of paper behind the windows. These were cut at 1" x 3".
The bells are also from the Christmas cart. They were cut at 1.24"h. The band and bow were on the same key together so I took turns hiding one and then the other so that I could cut them in different colors. I made the band a little larger and cut them at 1.31"h, and the the bows at 1.27"h.
I also made a wreath for the front of the train. This was done using the Christmas cart, and was cut at 1.50"h.
For the title I used Plantin Schoolbook at cut it at .84"h. (This font matched the actual title the best.)
Here are some pictures of the pages getting put together:

Like I said we just got back yesterday (Monday) afternoon, so I have not had time to print my pics yet. There is a 5 x 7 of my Little Stinkerbella and her friend Emma sitting on Santa's lap. (Of course Stinkerbella is SCREAMING!) Here are a couple of the pics that I will be ordering to add to these pages:

I would love to share my Gypsy file with all of you, but can not figure out how to attach it?! If anyone would like it and can walk me through the process I would be more than happy to edit this post and add the file! (Thanks Cher for your help!!!!) It took a TON of time, but let's just consider this my Christmas gift to all of you! :) Happy Holidays, thanks for visiting today, and thank you for all of your lovely comments! <3 Kristy

Shall We Dance Blog Hop...

Hello my crafty friends, and welcome to the Shall We Dance Blog Hop! This is my first time participating in a blog hop, and I am so excited to show you what I’ve made!  We have all created something using the Cricut Circle cartridge Shall We Dance. Hopefully you arrived from koalatkreations. If you happened upon my blog another way and would like to see the whole blog hop, you can start at greengirlscraps.

Here's the line up:

I decided to create a layout for this hop. My daughter is one and is not in any sort of dance class yet, so I had to come up with a way that I could use some of the cuts on this cartridge. Here's what I came up with:
I used my trusty Gypsy to design and cut everything on this layout. The following were cut using the Shall We Dance cartridge:
The white "frame" is the Medallion 2 on page 70, and was cut at 8.12"h. Then, I doodled around the edges with a Stampin' Up marker.
The little "ballerina" is on page 42. Her and her layers were cut at 6 1/2". I embossed her hair with the Cuttlebug folder Divine Swirls, added a tulle bow, and cut a tree at 1" from the Christmas cartridge to match Little Stinkerbella's shirt.
I used Mini Monograms to cut out the scallop circle, and I also welded small circles into each scallop. This was cut at 13.29"h. The green polka dot circle is from the MM cart too. It was cut at 14.24"h. I only needed a little bit of red paper for the "ballerina's" outfit so I cut it out of the middle of the scallop circle and then covered it with the green polka dot circle.
The title was typed up onto my computer, and the color was changed to match the other browns on the layout.
"So big" was cut using All Mixed Up. The Silhouette, and the Shadow features were used to cut each letter at 2 1/2".

I used Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon and glue lines for the border base. The stars, hearts, and memories borders are by Making Memories.

I used pop dots to add dimension, and also added some bling of course!

Thanks for "hoping" by today, and I hope you come back and visit! How about a little blog candy???? I was a part of a stocking swap this week, received some fun items, and would love to share a couple of things with one of you! All you have to do is become a follower, and leave a comment. I will chose a winner on Monday night.
Tim Holtz stamps and grungeboard!

Thanks for "hopping" along with me today! Your next stop is Time2Create
Have a great weekend! <3Kristy

Cricut Message Board Stocking Swap

This was the first time that I took part in a swap. This swap was put together by Octoberbeauty on the Cricut Message Board. I opened my package tonight and was very excited! My stocking came from LinAnn! I don't know how she knew, but I needed new markers BADLY! Look what she sent me:
I have never used these Prismacolor markers before, but I am VERY excited! They have a fine and a broad tip!!!! Here are some pics of everything else that was included:
Do you see the cute card she made me? Looks like LinAnn has an Imagine!
LOVE the bling and the fun flowers! Thanks sooooo much LinAnn! I can't wait to play with all my new items!

I sent a stocking to PigLover. Here's a sneak peek of the stocking I made for her:

I don't know if she has opened her package yet, so I don't want to spoil the surprise by posting pictures. I will try to post them tomorrow! Have a great night, and thanks again LinAnn!

A little something for my classroom...

So, I have a few students that are struggling with even and odd numbers. I decided to use my trusty Cricut, Gypsy, and my brand new Gingerbread cartridge (Thanks again Penny at Light Whimsy!) to make these adorable "even" and "odd" houses:
I used Recollections paper for all of the cuts. The houses and layers were cut at 11 1/2". (I cut off the window and the doors so that I would have more room for the numbers) The numbers are from Opposites Attract and were cut at 4 1/2". The arrows are from Don Juan. I "unlinked" the width and height so that they were skinnier and longer. They were cut at 0.77" w by 2.40" h. The words "even" and "odd houses" are from Cherry Limeade. They were welded together and cut at 3.10" h.
Then I used my white Gelly Roll pen to trace over the letters. They were laminated, and then I put magnet tape on the back of both houses so that they will stick right onto my wipe off board in the front of the classroom.

Each number stands for a number in the "ones" place. The arrows show...If you were to put a number (let's say 2) in front of each number you would have: 21, 23, 25, 27, and 29. These will all still be "odd" numbers. Same thing if you put a 3 in front of each number 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, and so on. When a student has a question about even/odd numbers all I have to say is, "Is it in the even house or the odd house?" When I taught kindergarten my little ones grasped this concept so quickly because of the houses that we made together. Now, I am using this as a review for my 2nd graders. I have found that this REALLY helps my students remember the difference between even and odd numbers.

I hope this quick idea will be able to help your students, children, grandchildren, or friends! Happy crafting to you all!
