Nascar layout

Hello fellow crafters! This is a layout that I did at one of my recent scrapbooking crops. Ok, so if you know me you know that I am definitely not a "Nascar" girl (as you will see in the picture below, my friends made fun of me because I wore a fancy headband). I went for my hubbie, and realized that it wasn't too bad as long as you are not sitting too close. Something else that made it not so bad, the fair food! Aah, I can taste the grilled corn now!
This is my simple Nascar layout:
The papers and borders are from My Mind's Eye, and the big arrow is from Scenic Route. The small arrows are from the Don Juan cartridge. I used glue lines under the Stampin' Up ribbon, and then "fan folded" the ribbon back and forth on top of its self. I also stapled the ribbon in areas for a "rugged" look.
To make the title I used Don Juan's Under Pressure font, embossed the letters with the Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder, and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz's distress ink tea dye.
At the crop we all received a little bag that had chocolates and a coupon in it. There was some twine attaching our name tag to the bag. I took the twine and tied it around "3" of my letters. Does anyone know where to get this thin twine at a great price? I want to start adding it to everything!
This was a quick layout, and a quick post. Hope you enjoyed it! Here's to grilled corn on the cob! Yum! ;)
