So my hubbie keeps asking me what's so great about the Cricut? Why do I keep needing new mats? How come I can spend so much time up in the loft crafting? And so on... Well, this weekend we went shopping at Hobby Lobby and JoAnns and he picked out his own papers. We came home and put the Little Stinkerbella down for a nap and I gave him a quick lesson on the Cricut. He used Indie Art and Stand and Salute and came up with his first set of "Man cards."
But don't tell anyone because he said he didn't want to lose his "man card!" He even said, "This is kinda relaxing and stress relieving." He also told me that I can buy as many mats as I want because he can now see how annoying it gets when your paper doesn't stick! I was told that his next set of cards will be beach themed to go along with Life is a Beach, and his Tahiti paper stack that he got! He said that now he doesn't have to wait for me to make him a card, he will just make his own. This is all hilarious to me and I love it! But remember don't tell anyone! :)
While he was making his cards I was preping for my St. Patrick's Day banner class that I am teaching on Friday night, and I also made this card:
I used the Slumber Party cart for the bunny (it kinda reminded me of a marshmallow bunny), and Pink by Design stamp from the Hoppy Easter set.
Of course I added a little stickles to the whiskers, and some twine and bling to finish off the card.
I'm going to add this card to the More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday challenge. The challenge is to use anything as long as it is zoo themed. Most zoos have rabbits right?! Wish me luck, I would {love} to win the $15 gift card to Pink by Design!!!

That's so cool that he created the cards!! They turned great too! Don't worry I won'te anyone. :)
That's so funny! I'm glad he understands now. My hubby and I share a space, so he's always peeking over to see what I doing. I'm lucky that he sees how much I love my Cricut and crafting and is totally supportive (until I find a big sale and spend WAY too much money). He doesn't like it when I say, "But it was all on sale, and I saved SOOOO much money!!!" I guess he doesn't see it that way. lol Thanks so much for sharing such a cute story and card. :o)

Wow! I am impressed he sure made some great cards. Mine just shakes his head. Loves what I do and thinks I should sell everything I make to recoup what I have spent! Ha, if he only knew!
Oh, that is awesome! Love it!
Way to go! I love it. He's going to have to start his own blog next!!
How cool!! Tell hubby he can enter his green camo card into our challenge for a chance to win a scrappy gift card - our challenge is GO GREEN! :)
so telling everyone!!! Or maybe just pttig it in my back pocket in case I need to show my hubby...great job on both your projects
I thought I'd share with you a little money saving tip. I make my mats sticky again using the thick permanent Zig glue. I wash the mat thouroughly, dry it, cover the mat with the glue and let it sit for a couple of hours to dry. Afterwards the mat is like new. The glue goes on blue but will dry clear. I hope this saves you a few dollars.
BTW my husband and kids have enjoyed playing with the cricuit too.
What a cute and pink bunny. Love it, so adorable. I really like your blog to. Great job.
