CJ Too Design Team Post...

Hello my crafty friends! Today is a Craft Junkie Too Design Team Project day!!!! We were asked to create a Christmas project to help kick off the holiday season!

My friend recently got married (and Little Stinkerbella was her flower girl). A couple of months ago I saw this great idea on Pinterest and knew I just had to make her this Christmas ornament to commemorate her beautiful wedding!
I started with her wedding invitation...
 and cut it into strips.
Then I wrapped some of the pieces around an Imaginisce tool.
I also used the end to wrap some of the pieces.
Here are all the pieces after they have been wrapped and rolled!
I bought a large glass ornament at Michaels and put all of the rolled pieces inside. Then I attached the ribbon from the invitation onto the top of the ornament and tied on some silver ribbon to hang the ornament onto the tree.
 Here's the final product...
I just love how you can see some of the words and the bride and groom's names through the ornament!
Merry 1st Christmas to Mrs. and Mr. Schork!

Daddy's Girl...

Hello my crafty friends! I love how this layout turned out! Last Christmas we meet my hubby's parents in Pismo Beach, for Christmas. These pictures were taken just outside our hotel room. It was so peaceful and beautiful!
The title was cut using Hannah Montana (one of the reasons I bought the cartridge)! The circle is from Accent Essentials, the waves are from Life is a Beach and the cloud/sun are from Pop-Up Neighborhood. I also embossed the circle with the Polka Dots CB folder.
I made a journaling tag and slipped it behind the last picture.

Our Little Popeye...

Hello my crafty friends! Here's another "quick" layout post for all of you! This layout was done using a sketch from one of DCWV monthly sketch challenges (it was a 2 pager and I made it into a 1 page layout).

In these pictures we were out to eat with my husband's parents. Little Stinkerbella was playing with the straws, and in one of the pictures she reminded us of Popeye! ;) This was definitely a cute moment to capture!
I made the flowers to mimic the one she had in her hair. I used satin ribbon, tulle, pearl gems, and a lighter to singe the edges. This little flag was made from a BBQ skewer. ;)
I really like mixing up my letter stickers to make titles.

Squeeze me...

Hello my crafty friends! Here's another quick post layout...
I just couldn't pass up the title with these pictures! ;)
I used a TON of Imaginisce products! I just LOVE their papers and coordinating embellishments. I also used a bunch of i-rock gems! The orange was cut using the Preserves cartridge, and blinged up with some Martha Stewart products.
Seriously, how cute is this paper?! Goes great with the cute kid, right?!!!

Best Buds

Hello my crafty friends! I have to say...I'm soooo behind! I have a TON of scrapbook pages that I need to take pictures of and post, to share with all of you! So, I'm going to do some "quick" posts to get them up! ;)

I love how this page turned out! This was Little Stinkerbella's favorite toy when she was just brand new (it was also her "fur" brother Bob's favorite toy!) I still think I may add an arrow to point out Bob in the top picture!
This cute little seahorse is from Create a Critter.
I added some i-rock bling to the journaling pieces.
I am loving my Corner Chomper! I was even able to use up some of my scrap pieces on this page.

Quick and cute Thanksgiving place cards

Today's my day to be the guest designer over at She's a Sassy Lady. If you have a moment please hop on over and leave me a comment. Here's my post:

Hi everyone! This is Kristy from craftin-on-my-door and I want to thank Sheila for allowing my to be her guest designer again today! I look forward to my monthly She's a Sassy Lady posts!

This month I thought that I would come up with some quick and cute Thanksgiving place cards. If you're not hosting Thanksgiving at your house this year, they would even make great little cards to attach to a hostess' gift!  (You're not going to believe this, but this project took me LESS than 20 minutes!)

I used my fabulous Imagine and the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge to quickly whip this up:
The pieces were printed and cut at 3".
I cut a piece of brown paper 4" x 3" and then folded it in half to make the card 2" tall.
Next, I glued the pumpkins down to the top of the card and then used some thin foam adhesive to attach the squash. I used some small Making Memories letter stickers to add a name to the banner. Then I used some thick foam adhesive to add the banner.
I looped some twine around the bottom of the card and tied a knot.
Then I cut a small piece of satin ribbon and tied it onto the twine. Lastly, I threaded a flower and a button onto the twine and tied a little bow.
What do you think?!
I love all the dimension and how quick it came together!

CJ Too Design Team Thanksgiving Project...

Hello my crafty friends! Today is a Craft Junkie Too Design Team Project day!!!! We were asked to create a Thanksgiving project (designer's choice)!

This is a project that I have had in mind for a while now and this was the perfect time to create it! I joined a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group in September, and LOVE it! I love the time out of the house, the "Mommy time," and meeting new friends! Last week when I picked Little Stinkerbella up from her play group time she said, "I had fun!" So, I love that too! I decided to make this project for each of the ladies at my MOPS table. I created some apple cider slider cards for my new friends! Here's a picture of the finally project:
First, start by cutting your paper at 8 1/2 x 5.
Then I made a type of "belly band," and cut strips of pattern paper at 8 1/2 x 2 1/2.
Next I glued the pattern paper onto the brown paper.
I scored the papers at 2 1/2 and 6.

I made a sentiment on my computer, "So thankful for you!" and printed them out onto card stock.
I cut the sentiment into rectangles of 3 1/2 x 2 1/2. Then I chose a cute little pumpkin from the Mini Monsters cartridge and an oval from the Plantin School Book cartridge.
I inked the edges of the ovals and the pumpkins for some dimension.
Then I cut off most of the leaves from the pumpkins and the entire leaf from the stems.
Next glue the sentiments onto the cards, the pumpkins onto the sentiments, and the stems onto the pumpkins.
Then I used a glue dot to attach these fun fall leaves (I found at Michaels), add foam tape to the ovals, and attach to the middle of the pumpkins.
Fold all the cards at their score lines, then put the apple cider inside the card, add strong tape to the edge of the card and fold together to attach.
I punched a hole and threaded the ribbon through. Then put the apple cider back into the card, it will push down on the ribbon as you pull it down. The last step is to tie a knot at the top. Now all you have to do is "pull" up on the bow and it lifts the apple cider out of the card.
 Pretty cute, right?!!
I really like how they turned out and I can't wait to hand them out on Tuesday! I wish I could hand one out to each of you, too! I am so thankful to all of my crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by my little part of the blog world, and most of all THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments, I'm sure you don't even know how much your comments mean to me!!!! :)
