CJ Too Design Team Thanksgiving Project...

Hello my crafty friends! Today is a Craft Junkie Too Design Team Project day!!!! We were asked to create a Thanksgiving project (designer's choice)!

This is a project that I have had in mind for a while now and this was the perfect time to create it! I joined a MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group in September, and LOVE it! I love the time out of the house, the "Mommy time," and meeting new friends! Last week when I picked Little Stinkerbella up from her play group time she said, "I had fun!" So, I love that too! I decided to make this project for each of the ladies at my MOPS table. I created some apple cider slider cards for my new friends! Here's a picture of the finally project:
First, start by cutting your paper at 8 1/2 x 5.
Then I made a type of "belly band," and cut strips of pattern paper at 8 1/2 x 2 1/2.
Next I glued the pattern paper onto the brown paper.
I scored the papers at 2 1/2 and 6.

I made a sentiment on my computer, "So thankful for you!" and printed them out onto card stock.
I cut the sentiment into rectangles of 3 1/2 x 2 1/2. Then I chose a cute little pumpkin from the Mini Monsters cartridge and an oval from the Plantin School Book cartridge.
I inked the edges of the ovals and the pumpkins for some dimension.
Then I cut off most of the leaves from the pumpkins and the entire leaf from the stems.
Next glue the sentiments onto the cards, the pumpkins onto the sentiments, and the stems onto the pumpkins.
Then I used a glue dot to attach these fun fall leaves (I found at Michaels), add foam tape to the ovals, and attach to the middle of the pumpkins.
Fold all the cards at their score lines, then put the apple cider inside the card, add strong tape to the edge of the card and fold together to attach.
I punched a hole and threaded the ribbon through. Then put the apple cider back into the card, it will push down on the ribbon as you pull it down. The last step is to tie a knot at the top. Now all you have to do is "pull" up on the bow and it lifts the apple cider out of the card.
 Pretty cute, right?!!
I really like how they turned out and I can't wait to hand them out on Tuesday! I wish I could hand one out to each of you, too! I am so thankful to all of my crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by my little part of the blog world, and most of all THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments, I'm sure you don't even know how much your comments mean to me!!!! :)

Frankly You're the Best!

Hello my crafty friends! I received my new Scrappy Moms "Bewitched" stamp set in the mail yesterday, and I just HAD to make a quick card! Look how cute this set is...
I have a little tin pail that sits on my desk, and when ever I have "left overs" or pieces I didn't end up using I just plop them into the pail!
My goal for this card was to use pieces I had in the pail and/or scraps of paper...mission accomplished!

This cute little guy has been waiting in that pail for almost a year! I think he goes perfectly with this adorable stamp! Thanks for stopping by today! <3Kristy

Itsy Bitsy Spider layout...

Hello my crafty friends! Today's Craft Junkie Too DT project guidelines were to make a Fall project! Well, I {love} anything Halloween and this layout reminded me of one of my favorite holidays! When Little Stinkerbella was about 10 months old her favorite little Nursery Rhyme was the Itsy Bitsy Spider. So, I set up my camera on a timer and took pictures of me singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider with her. I love how this simple layout  turned out...

This cute little spider and web are from the Mini Monsters cartridge. I flipped the image to better fit on my page.
I also used little Recollections spider stickers to add to the theme!
This little phrase is also from Mini Monsters. Then I added some black lace behind the phrase. I also typed up a little journaling and added to the page.
I really wanted to fit more pics on the page so I ordered a little collage from Walgreens.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I was able to inspire you to create a fun fall project! Please hop on over to CJ Too to see what the other DT members made today! <3Kristy
