CJTOO Design Team Post

Hi my crafty friends! I am so excited to be a part of the CJTOO Design Team! Our first project was to make something for either Teacher Appreciation Day or an end of the year gift. Well, being a teacher I knew what I would make. This also gave me the chance to play with my new E2!
One of my crafty friends that I work with is getting married this summer, and I thought I would make her something "teachery" with her NEW name on it!
I've had this frame for years, about 10 to be exact!
First, I took out the glass and mat. Then I cut off the back.
Next, I wrapped brown tulle around the entire frame and then tied a bow at the end.
I used my trusty Gypsy to help me size, and weld the pieces.
I used Simply Sweet to cut the letters at 2". The heart is also from Simply Sweet and was cut at 4.25".
The I cut the apple and all of the layers from Give a Hoot at 3.30".
I cut the base paper (DCWV) at 8 x 8 and then started placing the pieces onto my paper. For the apple I cut 2 layers for the brown, and 5 layers for the cream or inside. I scored, pierced, folded, and then sewed the layers down the middle with a needle and thread. Then I added some twine around the stem.
I put the frame on top of the background paper and then attached the pieces.
Next, I put the paper into the frame and attached the back.
Last but not least who doesn't love gift cards??!!! I attached a Nordie's gift card to the back...
School is almost out which means I will get to spend more time with my Little Stinkerbella! I hope you enjoyed my project today! Have a great week! <3 Kristy

Kristy: How FABULOUS is your project! LOVE how you turned an everyday frame into a work-of-art. As a former teacher - I have to say that I would LOVE to have this cute little number displayed on my desk. Know your friend is going to LOVE this project. Thanks for sharing.
