Here is the sketch for this month's DCWV challenge:
And using the All About Girls Stack here's what I came up with:
The title is definitely true!
I made these flowers using the Mother's Day Bouquet, and Flower Shoppe. I didn't want anything to take away from Stinkerbella's cute pictures so I just layered the flowers with some dark brown tulle. For the center of the flowers I tied the tulle into many knots, then wrapped it around itself, and added a glue dot to the bottom.
I used some of my scallop SU punches for the brown accent pieces), a small heart punch, Thickers, small Making Memories letters, and a Bazzill border.
The large circle was cut at 6" using Accent Essentials, and the "10" was cut using Birthday Cakes.
I was lucky enough to win as one of Erin's Top 10 last month. My fingers are *crossed* for this month's challenge, I would {LOVE} to win some of the new stacks that are coming out!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm soooo looking forward to craftin' it up this weekend! <3Kristy

DCWV challenge
Hello my crafty friends! There are TONS of amazing papers out there right now. And I don't know about you, but I have a bunch of DCWV stacks! I just can't help myself especially when they are on sale at J's! I was browsing the web yesterday and came across DCWV website. Erin on the DCWV blog is hosting her monthly challenge. The sketch was just so adorable that I COULDN'T resist! I planned to just set up my layout, but then I just kept going and before I knew it it was 3:00am! Here's the sketch:
And here is what I came up with (fyi these pictures are pre-Stinkerbella, when our pooches were our fur babies! Bob was a squirrel and Hope a ladybug.):
All pattern papers are from the DCWV Mod-Retro stack, and the purple and black papers are from one of the DCWV solid stacks. The stickers and borders are from K&Co., glittery tulle from H L, pins are from Making Memories, and the "Boo" chipboard title is from Target. I used my different sizes of square punches to make the cut outs on each flag. Just put the paper into the punch sideways, line up at the half-way mark (it looks like a triangle), and punch!
I just {love} all the little flags on this layout! I added 3D foam under most of the flags for dimension.
I {love} the row of flags on this page!
I made a flag using a kabob skewer, tulle, twine, sticker, and a piece of 6" DCWV paper. I also added a ball of black stickles to the top of the skewer.

I am so glad that I found this blog and these super cute sketches, too! I will definitely be doing this layout again with pics of Stinkerbella, and I can't wait to see next month's sketch! Here's to crafting until the early hours of the morning! <3 Kristy
