Cricut Expression 2!!!!

Have you seen this, yet?!!
It uses regular carts and Imagine carts! It also says something about being able to design it with your favorite color inserts?! It has wi-fi and a touch screen!
I already told my hubbie that my E is starting to give me fits...*just planting the seed!* I may have to cross my fingers, but I'm also on the lookout for a pot of gold! ;) Happy craftying everyone!
p.s. I have some new layouts that I will be posting this week.

LOVE canvas

Here is a quick and easy project that I made for my hubbie, about 2 years or so ago. (I can't remember if it was for Valentine's Day or our anniversary?!

The canvas, picture stand, and stickers are from Michaels. I started by stamping swirls and hearts onto the canvas. I punched borders and then added my pictures. Then, I added stickers, a page border, ribbons, flowers, a heart clip and bling!
Have a crafty weekend! <3 Kristy

New Year's treat

I know this is a little late, I really have been planning to post this...
Quick post, just  some fast little toppers I made (with the help of Stinkerbella) to decorate our New Year's brownie bites:

I used two of my SU punches, layered them, and added stickers for the "2011." Then, I taped a toothpick to each one and stuck 'em in the tasty treats!

This was super quick, and Stinkerbella "only" managed to empty out my whole tub of letter stickers, in the time I put these together. She also crinkled a couple of the toppers, but hey doesn't that just add character?! Happy January everyone! <3 Kristy

She's An American!

Our fabulous Science Teacher is from Holland, and she officially became an American citizen, this week! Of course, the fantastic Second grade team had to make her something! Krista had the great idea of getting her a ton of "American" food items, Christianna went shopping for us, and I put it all together into an American basket!

We filled it with all sorts of American treats! Some of the treats include: everything you need to make Smores, Cracker Jacks, Vermont Maple Syrup, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, New England Clam Chowder, beer, mini flags, and of course an apple pie!

I used my Gypsy to make the "signs." The red doily is from Cherry Limeade, the blue circle is from Stand and Salute, the pie is from From My Kitchen, and the letters are from Winter Woodland.

I also embossed the letters with the Tim Holtz Notebook folder, popped up the apple pie, and then taped them onto dowels (that I had my super hubbie cut for me!).

I stuck them into the basket and added a super glittery red star, and ribbon to the handle.
Congrats Herma, we adore you!

I Love You mini flip album

Here's my project for today's post at She's a Sassy Lady: (Please hop on over to She's a Sassy Lady and leave me a comment...you're the best!)

Hello my crafty friends! This is Kristy from Craftin on my door, and I want to thank Sheila for letting me guest design again for She's a Sassy Lady (I look forward to my monthly posts)! Two of my goals for the new year are to "use" what I have, and to "dig" deep and pull out cartridges that I haven't used in what seems like forever! Well, today I did both! Since, it is almost Valentine's Day I thought that I would make a mini flip album for my hubbie.
I was looking through Fabulous Finds and found the perfect album:
I used the flip album , and the insert (no shift) on page 126. First, I cut the insert using the "Fit to Page" button on my Cricut. It showed that it would cut the insert at 3 3/4". Then, I cut the album at 3 3/4" also.
Next, I used my Scor Pal to score the album and insert. I then attached the insert inside of the album. I went through my pictures, found the ones I wanted to add, and cut them all around 3" x 3".
The fun part was going through my embellishments and seeing which ones I wanted to use!
On each page I added items like die cuts, glitter stickers, buttons, twine, fiber ribbons, flower ribbon, doilies, crepe paper, bling, pop dots, foil, and ANYthing else that looked fun to add. I think the MORE the BETTER!
On the inside page I added my journaling, and only put glue on the sides and bottom of the journaling so that I could add a tag behind.
Lastly, I added ribbon on the "spine" of the album, and "made with love" to the back of the album (why leave anything blank...right?!)
This was actually quite quick to put together, and if I have some more time I might even make some of these up for Stinkerbella's grandparents! I hope you all enjoyed a little bit of craftiness today, and I challenge you to "use" what you have and to "dig" deep and pull out cartridges that you haven't used in what seems like forever! Sending {LOVE} your way as we approach Valentine's Day!

Even and Odd Houses Gypsy File Share

Hello my crafty friends! A few weeks ago I shared with you all the Even and Odd Houses that I made for my classroom.

I had a lot of crafty friends that {loved} the idea, so I thought I would simply share my Gypsy file with you all today!
To cut this file you will need Gingerbread, Cherry Limeade, Opposites Attract and DonJuan
**After I cut out the "icing" layer for the house, I trimmed off the windows and doors to make more room for the numbers. I used my white gelly roll pen to go over the words "even house" and "odd house," they were laminated, and then I put a piece of magnetic strip on the back so that they would stay on my dry erase board.
Feel free to download, and please leave me a comment if you do. I hope you all enjoy!
Even and Odd Houses Gypsy Download
(fyi when you download the file it will say C-O-M-D (stands for Craftin-on-my-door) Even and Odd Houses  :)

It's your bird-day! card

Hello my crafty friends! I used 2 of my NEW carts April Showers and the Mother's Day Bouquet (and a background from Lacy Labels).
Here's what I came up with:
The card base was cut at 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" then scored, and folded to make a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square card. First, I cut a piece of pink crepe paper, fan folded the sides, and attached it to my card using my "pink" atg gun!
The green background was cut using the "flower2" from the Lacy Labels cartridge.
The bird and cage were cut at 4 1/2" using the April Showers cartridge. Next, I used a Zig 2 way glue pen on the bird, and then "sugared" it with ultra fine glitter. Then, I went over the glitter with Glossy Accents to give it an epoxy look, and add more dimension. Pop dots were used to "pop" the cage off of the card.
The flowers were cut using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. The hot pink flowers are cut at 1 1/2" and 1 3/4". The pattern/brown flowers are cut at 1 1/2" and 1 1/4". The light pink flowers are cut at 1" and 3/4". I curled the edges with my scoring tool, layered them using glue dots, and then added a faceted bling to the middle of each one. Stampin Up dimensionals were used to "pop" up the flowers.
A big pink bow tied with bakers twine and "It's your bird-day!" were attached to the top of the cage. I used the MPS Punny-licious stamp set for the saying (Isn't too cute?!), and a SU punch for the sentiment.

My Valentine LO

Hello my crafty friends! My Little Stinkerbella turned ONE in November and I am WAY behind in my scrapbooking! One of my {goals} for 2011 is to scrap last year's holiday/occasion before this year's is here! So, on that note I got to work and completed her 1st Valentine's Day LO! I am also entering it into the Cricut Circle Blog's Weekly Challenge!

Here it is:
I used the Simply Sweet cartridge for this LO. The font is adorable! I {heart} this cart, and got it for FREE from the rewards site!!!! (Thanks PC!)
I put the letters for Valentine through my Xyron upside down, and then "sugared" them with glitter! Doodled around the scalloped border, and added some tiny heart brads (I had in my stash).

I used Making Memories tiny alphas for the "2010". The hearts were all cut using the Doodlecharms cart. I also "sugared" the pink hearts and then used Glossy Accents on top of the glitter.
The "love" was also cut using the Simply Sweet cart, "sugared" with glitter, and then also topped with Glossy Accents.

I added some bling to the title circle and on the corners of the page, a super sparkly prima flower, a button, and some bakers twine. I also doodled around the m and y of "my", and on the scalloped borders.

Papers used:
*Stampin Up
*Recollections

I was overwhelmed by the amount of crafty friends that enjoyed my Polar Express LO so much, and downloaded the Gypsy file! I planned this LO all on my G (with a little help from some old sketches I had printed off and in my stash) and thought maybe someone out there would like this download too!
Here is the Gypsy file for this LO 1st VDay Lo
**For this LO you will need Simply Sweet, Doodlecharms, and Plantin Schoolbook
If you decide to download the file please leave me a comment and let me know if you would be interested in more Gypsy downloads! ;) Also, know that I am already entering this into this weeks Cricut Circle Blog challenge.

Thank you for all of your fabulous comments! Keep on craftin' <3 Kristy
