Daddy's Girl...

Hello my crafty friends! I love how this layout turned out! Last Christmas we meet my hubby's parents in Pismo Beach, for Christmas. These pictures were taken just outside our hotel room. It was so peaceful and beautiful!

 The title was cut using Hannah Montana (one of the reasons I bought the cartridge)! The circle is from Accent Essentials, the waves are from Life is a Beach and the cloud/sun are from Pop-Up Neighborhood. I also embossed the circle with the Polka Dots CB folder.

 I made a journaling tag and slipped it behind the last picture.

Little Fish layout

Hello my crafty friends! Today I'm thinking and praying for those that lost loved ones 10 years ago! I can't believe that it's been 10 years! Little Stinkerbella and I are going downtown this evening to a special program for 9/11. i'm looking forward to coming together as a community and remembering those brave men and women! God bless America!

I'm really trying to catch up on Little Stinkerbella's pages! Here's a layout I did of my little fish...

 One of my "new" favorite things to do...I use my Gypsy to search for any words that may be part of my title! The "little" was from part of a title on Graphically Speaking. It said "a little.." I hid the "a" and just glittered up the "little." The fish is from From My Kitchen.

The waves are from Life's a Beach. I used Glossy Accents and some pearl glitter to add dimension.

 I cut this cute little fish from Life's a Beach and then cut the layers to match Stinkerbella's swimsuit.

I found a cute little swimsuit on A Child's Year cart and then just cut off the ruffled skit. I also decorated the swimsuit to match Stinkerbella's and then used it for my journaling spot! Side note...I really don't like my handwriting, but I think that it is important to write on some of your layouts...one day I think Little Stinkerbella will be glad I did!

I also used little pebbles around the page to simulate bubbles, and my handy dandy circle punch to add behind the pictures.

I have been scrapping a lot lately and have many pages to share with you, including another page I did with my Imagine (in only an hour and a half!!!)! Thanks for stopping by today! <3Kristy

Flip Flop card...

Hello my crafty friends! One of my fabulous friends gave me this SUPER cute pair of Havaianas for my birthday!

 Look at that cute little blinged out fishy!!!

Of course I just had to make her a thank you card, and my Scrappy Moms "sun kissed" stamp set had the {perfect} sentiment!

 Here's the card I made... (I even added a sparkly little fish to the right flip flop!)

I'm lovin' my Imagine and the Hopscotch cartridge...just LOVE this sky paper! I used DCWV glitter stack for the flip flops, and the rest of the papers are from my scraps.

 Of course I HAD to use my Glossy Accents and fine glitter for the sand!

10 years!

So, yesterday (Thursday) was the hubster's and my 10 year wedding anniversary! If only I still looked like this:

Can you see the crinkle in the middle of the pic?? Just as I was about to snap a picture of it (so that I could upload it to FB and tag everyone in it!) Stinkerbella snatched it and ran! Boy is she quick! I like to call this 20 month old phase "tornado!" Okay, back to the card...Here's a little something I whipped up for the hubster:

We {love} the beach and used to live so close to it, so when I saw this stamp set by Scrappy Moms I knew I needed it for this card! Here's the set I used, it's called "Sun Kissed."

I stamped the sentiment and then punched it out with one of my SU oval punches.

This is a 5.25" x 5.25" square card. The background circle is from Accent Essentials. The sun and clouds are from the Pop up Neighborhood cartridge. The surfboards, waves, and starfish are from Life is a Beach. The "sand" is actually snow from Jolly Holidays.

I added some thin twine to the bottom of the card and to the sentiment, inked everything in Tim Holtz' Tea Dye ink, and TONS of foam dimensionals.

My favorite paper right now is Echo Park Paper (not used on this card, but I just picked up some cute pieces of the Country Drive line and will be posting something soon!)

Happy Anniversary to my HOT hubby! I love you tons, (and if possible I think I've fallen in love all over again...just watching him with our daughter)! Boy, I sure wish I had a piece of this cake...yum!

CJ Too Design Team Summer Project

Hello my crafty friends! Today is another Craft Junkie Too Design Team project day. The theme is SUMMER, and what's more summery than a pineapple drink and a bridal shower?! One of my super fab and crafty friends will be getting MARRIED this summer, and another super fab friend and I are throwing her an elegant luau bridal shower this Saturday! Here are the invites that I made, with some help from just another super fab and crafty friend:

I used the Life is a Beach cartridge, coffee stick stirrers for the umbrellas, real straws, ribbon to match the wedding colors, small flowers, bling, and a TON 3D adhesive. I put all the info for the shower on the back. Here they are in the making:

I also made these super cute little favor boxes.

And whipped together some thank you cards for her to use.

My Cricut and My Classroom

I just realized that I never showed you pictures of items that my trusty Cricut helped my make for my classroom. Later is better than never.. :)

*I made different surfboards for parts of the day and specials. I added a  magnetic strip to the back so that I can change them daily, and add them to my board.

Here is the bulletin board outside my classroom. I used the 12 x 24 mat to make each student a surfboard. Then, I printed a label with their name on it, attached it to the top of each board, and laminated them. Every time I put a piece of their work out on the board, it gets stapled onto their surfboard. This way the parents always know where to look for their child's work.

I used a few of my favorite cartridges for these cuts: Life is a Beach, an Ocean of Words, and Cherry Limeade. **And thanks to my friend Tammy for letting me borrow her palm tree, little hula girl, and surfin' boy! (She made these from stamps that she has!!!!)

Throwback Thursday Challenge

This is my 1st Throwback Thursday Challenge for My Creative Time with Emma Aguilar! This weeks challenge is to make a project with an animal from the "Zooballoo" cart, or if you don't have this cart (like me) you can use any "older" cart with animals on it. I decided to use the "Life is a Beach" cart because I haven't used it in over a year, but I just adore all the fun beachy cuts (I LOVE the beach!)!

Well, a dear friend of mine (who keeps me sane!) has been gone on vacation for a week, and I thought I would make up this card to invite her, her hubbie, and her cutie patootie daughter over for dinner this week.

The carts I used are:
*Slumber Party for the background (it's the charm label)
*Forever Young for the background label (it's an emblem from pg. 41)
*Life is a Beach for the shark and the waves

Again, this is a 5" x 10" card. It's scored at 5" and then folded in half. I am just LOVING this size of card! I even found 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" envies at Michaels yesterday! I know they cost more to mail, but most of these are all hand delivered (so I can see the smile they bring to my friend's faces!). 

Recipe:
*The background was cut at 4 1/4" with DCWV jewel stack paper
*The shark was cut at 3 1/2" with DCWV glitter stack paper
*The waves were cut using the "border" feature at 2" and then cut down to fit the length of the card with Me & My Big Ideas paper stack
*The background emblem was cut at 1 3/4" with Stampin' Up's Pumpkin Pie paper
*I used Stampin' Up's scallop circle punch and Marcella K paper for under the sentiment
*I typed up the sentiment on my computer and printed it out onto a piece of white card stock, and then used another Stampin' Up punch to punch it out and add another layer.

I used the Cuttlebug folder Divine Swirls to emboss the waves. Then I glued one row of waves to the card, and "popped" up the top layer with 3D-Dots. I added some ribbon from Michael's, more 3D-Dots to the shark and sentiment, and some bling of course!
