Congrats!

A super friend of my mine got engaged this weekend!!!! We have all been crossing our fingers for her for what seems like forever! We are all SUPER excited for her and her man! So, of course I ran home last night and made her a card!
I used the Once Upon a Princess cart and cut out this fabulous "Rock" at 2 1/2". Then, I cut the scallop2 label from Lacy Labels at 5"  for a background piece.
I added some tulle, silver ribbon, a pearl pin, and used 3d dots to "pop" up the ring.
I added the phrase inside the card, and cut it at 2". I picked the phrase "sparkle" because first of all her ROCK sparkles in a major way, and secondly because SHE has been {sparkling} all day!
I know she's going to LOVE it! I made her promise me that I could help out with something "crafty" for the big day!
Congrats Kindon! I am soooooooo excited for you, WHATEVER you need...my Cricut, my glue gun and I are here for you!

Have a {sparkly} kind of day everyone!

WINNER WINNER Chicken Dinner!!!!!

I can't believe it...I finally won something! I was lying in bed sick as a dog last weekend, lurking on the Circut Circle message board, and found a blog hop going on. I jumped on and was able to read and post a comment on a few of the blogs before the NyQuil took over. I came across Light Whimsy and her adorable Hot Cocoa Pouches and HAD to leave a comment! When I woke from my slumber on Monday morning I had an email from her stating that I had won!!!!! Can you believe it?! Look what I won:

I have been wanting this cute cart for sometime now!!!! Thanks Penny! You made my day week month!!!!

Turkey Day cards and Tuesday Treats

This is my 1st time posting a project for Tuesday Treats! Please hop on over to Tuesday Treats and leave me a comment. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fabulous followers!

My family {my hubbie and our 1 year-old daughter} and I will be heading to Southern California to visit our best friends for Thanksgiving! While we are there we will also be seeing my bestie's family, and her hubbie's family so I thought why not make them all a Thanksgiving card!

Here's what I came up with:
I used the Doodlecharms cartridge,  the Lacy Lables cartridge, and of course my trusty Gypsy to get this card started! First, I chose the "turkey," "shadow," and "shadow for the plate." Next, I sized them at 2 1/2", and then used the {duplicate} button to add more.
Then, I used the "Flower2" label from Lacy Labels. I "unlinked" the width and height so that I could make it 5" x 5".
Paper Recipe:
Base of card-Kraft card stock from JoAnn's cut at 5 1/4" x 10 1/2". Then scored and folded in half to make a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" card.
Brown-Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip
Pattern paper-K & Co
Blue-Stampin' Up Baja Breeze
Cream Parchment-Recollections
Ribbon-Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip Satin
Brown and White Bakers Twine-from a local scrapbook store

I glued the pattern paper down onto the brown paper using my super cute Pink ATG. Then I used the "cheater method" of taping the ribbon to the back of the card stock before adhering it to the base of the card.
Next, I attached each of these to the base of the card. I love to add dimension so I used pop dots to adhere the turkeys to the cards.
Then, I tied on the bows, typed up a sentiment on my computer, punched them out with a SU circle punch, added bakers twine, and attached the sentiments to the bows.

I have a confession to make....I had first cut out the turkeys using the dark brown chocolate chip color (because I liked the way it all matched), but as I was putting them together they looked like {BURNT} turkeys to me! ;) What do you think?
Well, I hope you all enjoyed this easy, but elegant Thanksgiving card! Thanks for having me at Tuesday Treats, and please feel free to hop on over to my blog anytime Craftin' on my door!

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

With Sympathy

A dear friend of mine lost her grandfather, and is now in Hawaii with her family. I made her this card for her:
I used the Tie the Knot cart for the hibiscus, printed the sentiment on my computer, and then used an SU punch for the white paper and the pattern paper.

This card could be used for many different occasions. Hope you enjoyed this quick post. I'm getting ready for my post on Tuesday Treats tomorrow!

Pick of the Patch Scrapbook Layout

She's a Sassy Lady Guest Design Day

Hi everyone! This is Kristy from craftin-on-my-door.blogspot.com, and I have a super cute LO idea for those of you that still have pictures of your little ones at the pumpkin patch.
I used the Mini Monsters cartridge to cut the pumpkins. You can find these cute pumpkins on pages 60 and 61.
I used my trusty Gypsy to size and cut the pumpkins.  The big pumpkin was cut at 9.35", and the smaller pumpkin was cut at 6.65". I rotated the smaller pumpkins in order to fit 2 of them on one mat. Then, I used the hide/contour feature to "hide" the faces of the pumpkins.
Paper Recipe:
Pink-DCWV
Orange-DCWV
Green-DCWV
Metallic Gold-Recollections

Here's the first page of the LO:

I used Thickers and Making Memories stickers for the title.

I cut the little extra pieces off of the leaves, and then used the Cuttlebug folder Divine Swirls to add some texture. The card stock has a "white core" which came through the embossing, and gave even more texture/a distressed look! I went to a fantastic crop this weekend, and found some colorful twine while I was there.  I added some of the fun brown and white twine to each stem.
Many of you know that I love to add a ton of pictures to my pages. This time I uploaded my pictures to Wallgreens.com and then created a 5 x7 collage that held 10 pictures! {BTW they had all of their collages on sale for 1/2 price}
Here's the second page of the LO:
I used the Making Memories tiny alphas for my journaling.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and cute LO! Please feel free to hop on over to my blog anytime HERE.

Thanks again Sheila for having me today, and congrats again on your 1 year blog-a-versary!

Happy craftin'

Last Halloween treat and Card

I know that Halloween has come and go, but I promised to show you all one last card I made. (Sorry I didn't post earlier. I had parent conferences all last week)

I love a little "Scraplifing" every now and then, especially when it's from one of the best. I came across a video of someone opening a card that the fabulous Jana Eubank had sent her. I recreated, added a little twist of my own and this is what I came up with:
I love this little ghost from Mini Monsters!

Then I put them in a cello bag, added some candy, and turned them into a little Halloween treat for some of my friends at school!
Pretty cute, huh?!

I was able to go to a fun crop this weekend {thanks Super Dad!}, and I got a couple of LOs done! I can't wait to share them with you, this week! Here's to a great week!

Halloween card class

I know that Halloween has come and gone, but I still wanted to share some fun cards! I had a group of friends over a couple of weeks ago, and had everything ready for them to make these cute cards.
These were all made using the Pumpkin Carving cartridge.

For the "owl" card I added Glossy Accents to the moon, some ribbon, tickets, and a pumpkin pin.

For the "spider" card I used glitter paper for the spiders, stitched with a white pen, added a silver tulle bow, and some bling of course!

For the "Haunted House" card I added stickles, a chipboard bat sticker, and part of a K&Company Halloween border.

For the "Skull" card I added black crepe paper, an orange bow, a prima flower, and of course bling!

These cards are all 5 x 5 cards.
Papers used were:

Hobby Lobby
Recollections
My Mind's Eye
Bazzill

I hope you enjoyed these cards, and had a fabulous Halloween! I have one more card to show you tomorrow ;)
